Pioneer Point Partners, committed up to £100 million to support the delivery of Rendesco's existing and future pipeline and facilitate up to £500 million of capital investment in low-carbon heat network infrastructure across the UK.

The transaction reflects growing investor confidence in the heat network sector, driven by decarbonisation targets, evolving regulation, and increasing demand for low-carbon heating solutions for new-build residential developments.

Our role

Amberside Advisors was appointed by Pioneer Point Partners to provide commercial due diligence support, drawing on our specialist expertise in decentralised energy and district heating.

Our work included:

• Evaluating Rendesco's business model, market positioning and competitive      differentiation.

• Benchmarking commercial assumptions against comparable projects and market experience.

• Reviewing Rendesco's development pipeline to assess individual projects’ maturity,      credibility and key commercial assumptions.

• Assessing the size, growth outlook and key drivers of the UK district heating      market.

• Reviewing the regulatory and policy landscape, including decarbonisation objectives,      incoming Ofgem heat network regulation, and the requirements of Future      Homes and Building Standard.

• Providing European market benchmarking to compare the UK's policy framework with      more mature district heating markets.

We also provided supporting financial analysis to inform aspects of the wider due diligence process.
