Amberside Advisors is pleased to announce five promotions across its financial and commercial advisory teams, recognising the expertise, commitment and contributions of colleagues working across the infrastructure and energy transition sectors.

James Derbyshire promoted to Manager

Since joining Amberside Advisors in 2024, James has established himself as a highly capable project manager, delivering complex strategic consultancy assignments across the energy and infrastructure sectors. Alongside leading multidisciplinary teams and engaging with senior stakeholders, he has also helped shape the firm's proposition in emerging markets and identify new growth opportunities.

Zubair Mushtaq promoted to Manager

Zubair has made a significant contribution across a broad range of financial modelling, due diligence and advisory assignments. His experience spans operational and portfolio modelling, business planning and transaction support, and he is known for his strong technical skills, attention to detail and ability to deliver complex workstreams to a consistently high standard.

Yaoyu Wu promoted to Assistant Manager

Yaoyu has played an important role in delivering financial modelling assignments across the energy and infrastructure sectors. Her expertise includes heat networks, renewable energy portfolios and fund modelling, where she has supported a wide range of analytical, reporting and performance-monitoring activities. Her technical capability and dependable delivery have made her a valued member of the team.

Alessandro Capozi promoted to Assistant Manager

Alessandro has built a strong reputation for delivering operational models, valuations and assurance assignments across infrastructure and energy markets. Combining technical modelling expertise with effective project management, he has successfully led complex engagements while also supporting the development of colleagues through mentoring and knowledge sharing.

Ali Mohamed promoted to Senior Consultant

Since joining Amberside Advisors as part of the 2025 graduate intake, Ali has contributed to a diverse range of modelling, transaction and advisory assignments across infrastructure and energy. His experience spans commercial analysis, due diligence and valuation work, and he has quickly established himself as a reliable and proactive member of the team.
