Charlotte Slater joins Amberside Advisors’ Commercial Advisory team

Amberside Advisors is pleased to welcome Charlotte Slater as a Manager in our Commercial Advisory team.

Charlotte brings more than a decade of experience across the energy industry, with expertise spanning district heating, estate decarbonisation and ESG. A mechanical engineer by training, her career has combined technical, commercial and strategic leadership roles across the energy and sustainability sectors.

She began her career on ENGIE’s graduate scheme before specialising in decentralised energy, including work on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park district heating project. More recently, Charlotte held ESG-focused roles at CBRE, progressing to become part of the firm’s UK ESG Senior Leadership team.

At Amberside Advisors, Charlotte will work alongside Natasha Schlichtkrull and the wider Commercial Advisory team, supporting clients across the public and private sectors on renewable energy and decentralised energy projects.

Commenting on her appointment, Charlotte said:

“I was drawn to Amberside Advisors’ position advising on some of the leading decentralised energy projects in the UK. What particularly stood out to me was the combination of deep financial modelling expertise and commercial advisory capabilities, which is a unique proposition in the market.

I’m looking forward to working with such a dynamic team, reconnecting with former colleagues and building new relationships, while helping clients deliver complex energy and infrastructure projects.”

Outside of work, Charlotte is a keen cyclist and recently completed the Maratona dles Dolomites in Italy, raising £7,000 for Action Medical Research. She has also recently returned from a year travelling through Brazil and Mexico and is already on the lookout for her next challenge.
