From strategy to celebration - highlights from the Amberside Advisors Team Day 2025

Last month, the Amberside Advisors team came together at our London office for our annual Team Day - a chance to reconnect, reflect, and refocus on driving growth for the remainder of the year. With colleagues travelling in from across our different offices, the day was a valuable opportunity to spend time together in person.

The agenda was packed with engaging sessions and lively discussions. Directors Neil and Paul opened the day by reviewing recent successes and highlighting the opportunities ahead. We were also delighted to welcome Hugh Jones, Chief Executive of Steer, who shared updates on the wider Steer Group’s strategy and ambitions, sparking a thoughtful and interactive Q&A.

Our colleagues, Shravya and Mark, gave an insightful recap of their recent trip to the UAE and India, covering exciting market opportunities and ways we can collaborate with Steer’s India office. Their presentation truly demonstrated the impact of climate change in the region and the essential role for Energy Transition.

A client panel, hosted by Natasha, brought invaluable perspectives from leaders in the energy sector, who we are privileged to work with on some innovative and exciting projects. The guests spoke about industry trends, the role of advisors, and their own career journeys - stories that inspired many of us in the room.

John led a practical and engaging session on project management, where teams collaborated on a real-world case study. Congratulations to the winning team - Zaydaan, Alasdair, Faizan and the rest of Team 1 - who walked away with the coveted Marshmallow Clouds prize!

We wrapped up by celebrating the past year’s highlights, from business achievements to personal milestones, before joining our Steer colleagues at the Summer Social to continue the celebrations.

With the new graduates and senior hires joining recently, the day was a fantastic way to strengthen connections, share knowledge, and build momentum for the months ahead. The team left feeling energised, inspired, and ready to embrace the opportunities ahead.
