Amberside Advisors is pleased to welcome Obinna Okafor as a Senior Manager in our Financial Modelling team.

Obinna joins Amberside Advisors with significant experience in project finance, structured finance and financial modelling across the energy transition sector, including renewables, hydrogen and nuclear. His expertise spans capital structuring, investment appraisal, debt sizing, credit analysis and financial modelling for large-scale infrastructure assets, complemented by advanced technical skills in model automation and data analysis.

Most recently, Obinna was a lead modeller on Great British Energy Nuclear's £15-20bn Rolls-Royce SMR programme, where he developed complex project finance, Regulatory Asset Base (RAB) and cost models that supported major investment and funding decisions. Prior to this, he served as Head of Finance & Commercial Strategy at Orkora Ltd, an offshore power generation platform. Earlier in his career, he held engineering and technology roles with Johnson Matthey and Ceres Power, providing him with a strong understanding of the technologies underpinning the energy transition.

At Amberside Advisors, Obinna will support clients across the infrastructure and energy transition sectors, helping to develop, commercialise and finance complex projects. His appointment follows the recent arrival of Senior Manager Sonali Mittal Dadu to the Financial Modelling team, reflecting Amberside Advisors' continued investment in expanding its financial advisory and modelling capabilities. Together, they add significant senior expertise as we continue to support clients across a growing portfolio of energy and infrastructure projects.

Commenting on his appointment, Obinna said:

"I'm excited to be joining Amberside Advisors and becoming part of a team that combines deep financial and commercial expertise to help clients develop, commercialise and fund energy transition projects. Having worked across project finance, infrastructure and energy technologies throughout my career, I was particularly drawn to the opportunity to support clients in turning ambitious projects into investable, deliverable assets. I'm looking forward to working with colleagues across the business and helping our clients bring important energy and infrastructure projects to market."

We are delighted to welcome Obinna to the team and wish him every success in his new role.
